Carbon Footprint
Through a reduction in use of propane and diesel and with improvements to efficiencey and recycling, we were able to reduce our carbon footprint by 20.3% in 2025/2026 compared to 2024/2025.
Energy
In 2023 we installed 1544 solar panels on our buildings. This contributed to a fall in electricity consumption of over 200 MWh (a reduction in CO₂e of over 30 tonnes). We also embarked on a project to swap all of our lighting on site to LED in 2023 and although this is difficult to quantify exactly, we believe it has reduced our annual carbon footprint by approximately 10 tonnes of CO₂e.
In 2025 we invested in a new forklift charging station which uses power from our solar PV system, and we purchased 8 new state of the art electric forklifts to add to the fleet.

Recycling
We are always working towards improving our recycling. Through improved recycling in 2023/2024 we reduced the carbon emissions generated from our waste by 50%. In 2024/2025 we recycled the following:
And we reduced the waste we sent to landfill by 65%. We re-use packaging where we can. By re-using waste card for pallet layer pads, we have saved nearly 8 tonnes of cardboard that we would previously had to buy in!
Recycling
We are always working towards improving our recycling. Through improved recycling in 2023/2024 we reduced the carbon emissions generated from our waste by 17%. In 2023/2024 we recycled the following:
